Underground Network Services have steady experience in Water & Sewer infrastructure installation and are working to expand the company’s presence in this realm of work.

 

UNS’ portfolio of Water and Sewer Main builds most recently comprises of the installation of a 450mm steel water enveloper pipe in Calliope, Central Queensland. UNS worked with the primary civil construction contractor on site to install the 60.0m long on-grade pipe at 2.4m deep, in hard rock ground conditions. To be accepted for the work, UNS’ plant, equipment and HSE processes and procedures all underwent rigorous checks and passed with flying colours.

Another outstanding example of UNS experience in the build of this large utility infrastructure was the completion of a 1.2km long run of 100mm ‘Blue Brute’ water main and hydrants in replacement of the redundant Asbestos watermain – This work was completed alongside the local council and water board in Slacks Creek, Queensland.
